Only rarely do shipyards dare to build genuine long keels these days - they are simply no longer in fashion. A Finnish company does not leave friends of this traditional boat type out in the rain. We sailed an unusual boat that doesn't mind bad weather.

The Finnish Degerö 28 MS is a compact cruiser with the comfort of a much larger yacht and the advantages of a motor cutter. Its sailing characteristics nevertheless make it a fully-fledged sailing boat. The relatively high basic price of 16,7,500 marks can be explained by the concept, the solid construction, the excellent finish and the extensive equipment and fittings. In this respect, the price-performance ratio is good. But it is only in the complete version with bow platform, teak deck and teak bulwark that the Degerö 28 MS reveals its true pedigree. If you add a furling jib and furling mainsail as well as extensive electronic navigation equipment, you can spend up to 250,000 marks on this 28-foot yacht. The slogan "Mercedes on the water", which the shipyard likes to use, really does sound appropriate.
